UUMISM student wins junior event

UUMISM student Kim Yuen Jeong walked away with the Girl’s Category A title at the UUMISM-SportExcel Junior Tour 2020 first leg event held at the Monterez Golf & Country Club from February 29-March 1, 2020.

The seven handicapper scored 156 to win by six strokes over Nor Yazmin Hanisah, who is also a seven handicapper. In third place was Aishwarya Anpalagan (12H) who scored 165. In 4th and 5th places were Divyasheni Gunasegar (6H) and Natalie Tan (24H) who scored 169 and 171 respectively.

In the Boy’s A category, four-handicapper Caeden Cheah scored 154 to emerge champions. Two strokes behind was Izzat Syazmin, another four handicapper. Another two strokes behind were Otso Juvonen (7H) and Adrian Yap (4H). In 5th place was Austin Gan (4H) who returned a score of 163.

In the Girl’s B Category, Elisabert Boersheim was champions with a score of 159. The four handicapper won by 18 strokes over second place Janice Kwan (H12). Making up third to fifth places were Alya Batrisya Shaari (H17) – 178, See Wye (H17) – 181 and Aarthi Ganesan (H17) – 182.

The Boy’s B Category was won by seven handicapper Muhammad Ajmal Amin who scored 170, followed by 15-handicapper Muhammad Danish Aiman who was a stroke behind. In third place was Shazrai Shazrul (8H) – 175. In 4th and 5th places were Ng Li Xin (25H) and Putera Haikal Hakeem (12H) who scored 175 and 180 respectively.

Eight handicapper Kim Tae Rin was the champion in the Girl’s C Category after scoring 170. The other winners were Back Hyorin (14H) – 177, Nur Alisya Qistina (24H) – 189, Ngo Yi Belle (24H) – 196, and Nur Batrisyia Balqis (23H) – 198.

Another eight handicapper walked away with the Boy’s Category C top prize. Muhammad Izzul Irfan scored 156 ahead of second place winner Muhammad Adif Haikal, a four handicapper. In third place was Ezekiel Riz Hafi (12H) – 158, followed by Andrew Yap (15H) – 161, and Lim Hao Yu (15H) – 164.
