The Ministry of Education has suspended all sports meet locally and internationally that are organized by institutions of higher learning with immediate effect.
This was following the statement on March 12, 2020 by the Health Ministry that all mass gatherings are banned, in an effort to stop the spread of the Covid-19 which is at an alarming level.
As a result, the Sports Unit of the Ministry of Education is directing that the organising of all local and international sports events by institutions of higher learning and Institutions of Higher Learning Sports Councils be postponed with immediate effect until further notice.
