MIAA Women's Golfers of the Week, Presented by T-Shotz

he Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association has announced its final Women’s Golfer of the Week for the 2024 spring season.
MIAA Golfer of the Week – Kaathi Gunasegar, Lincoln    
Kaathi Gunasegar won two individual titles and led the Blue Tigers to a pair of team championships within the last six days. Gunasegar won the Lincoln/William Woods Invitational with a two-round total of 145 (+1), finishing five strokes ahead of the runner-up. The sophomore shot 69 in the second round after opening with a 76 as she helped Lincoln to the team title. Gunasegar also captured the Division II individual medalist honor at the National Women’s Collegiate Golf Championship with a three-round sum of 240. Gunasegar shot scores of 78, 82 and 80 as Lincoln claimed the Division II team title at the event. In winning the individual title, Gunasegar was invited to play in the LPGA Pro-Am in Texas on April 17.

Allison Comer – Nebraska Kearney
Allison Comer won the individual title at the Newman Invite (April 1-2) with a two round score of 148 (+4). The senior had rounds of 69 and 79 with her first round total being a career low and the fourth-ever sub-70 round in school history. Comer finished the tourney with 21 pars and six birdies.
Hayley Jones – Central Missouri
Hayley Jones earned a third-place finish at the Arkansas Tech Spring Preview earlier this week (April 9). Jones shot rounds of 75 (+3), 72 and 74 (+2) to end with a total score of 221 (+5), just one shot behind the event’s runner-up.
