XXXIII Olympic Games Paris 2024 – Chef de Mission Visit
Datuk Hamidin Mohd Amin, the Chef de Mission of the Malaysian Contingent to the XXXIII Olympic Games Paris 2024 paid a visit to shuttler Goh Jin Wei at the Bubble Sports Centre Cheras on Tuesday evening, 25 June 2024. Jin Wei who won the Women’s Badminton Gold Medal at the Youth Olympic Games in Buenos Aires 2018 is looking forward to making her debut at the Olympics after securing her place in the Women’s Singles event on 10 May 2024. In the session today, the independent shuttler trained under coach Seto Danu Kusuma and her training partner Aidil Sholeh Ali Sadikin. Her training is being overseen by coach Nova Armada, who engineered para shuttler Cheah Liek Hou’s progress onto the world stage. “Jin Wei has sought our assistance in facilitating her preparation,” said Datuk Hamidin. “She shared with me a few things that needed to be discussed with the Secretariat together with the BA of Malaysia.” “She understands these coming weeks are crucial for her preparation and we will endeavour to provide an enabling environment so that she is able to focus on her training and remain injury free.”
