Press Release
SportExcel team has been represented by 4 boys and 4 girls.
Competing in the Boys A under 18 category was Ezekiel Riz Hafi Suzearitz (15yo), Ethan Chan Jun Han (15yo), and Mohd Rafiq Anugerah Ali (17yo). Another boy, Chin Jing Sheng (12 yo) competed in the Boys C, under 12 category. All our girls, namely Alia Batrisya Shaari (17 yo), Nur Sakinah Ridzwan (16 yo), Nik Alicia Miriam Kamil Nik Fairus (17 yo) and Abigail Kedung Pearson (17 yo) competed in the Girls A division.
The tournament which was held at Lake View Resort & Golf Club in Hua Hin, Thailand, challenged the players with difficult greens, wet weather and strong wind. It could be an easy 3 putts if the ball landed on the wrong side or wrong tier of the greens.
Our players competed considerably well, considering Nur Sakinah, Ethan Chan, Alya Batrisya and Abigail were all first timer on their international exposure duty. On the other hand, Ezekiel, Nik Alicia and Rafiq are the more experienced players guiding and helping the 1st timers and sharing some pointers and previous experiences. On another point, Ezekiel is the returning Boys B champion of the 2023 edition, but now will have to play in Boys A.
All the kids would like to express their gratitude to SportExcel in selecting and giving them the opportunity to experience international tournament in taking their game and experience to another level. From time to time, SportExcel, throught it reciprocal arrangement with other foreign stakeholders, shall continue to provide aspiring young athletes to pursue their dreams in sports and in education.
