Mr. Wan Hor FONG was selected to present the discussion on “Building a Better and Healthier World through Sport” at the conclusion of the 2-day workshops. “The Olympic Motto remains relevant, especially with the addition of the word 𝗧𝗢𝗚𝗘𝗧𝗛𝗘𝗥 in 2021. While NOCs encourage athletes to push beyond their limits by becoming the 𝗙𝗔𝗦𝗧𝗘𝗥, 𝗦𝗧𝗥𝗢𝗡𝗚𝗘𝗥 and 𝗛𝗜𝗚𝗛𝗘𝗥, they should also inspire athletes to celebrate their successes together. This is because they must appreciate their fellow athletes, whose participation makes competition possible. Therefore, NOCs should aim to engage and empower athletes in their mission to develop, promote and protect the Olympic Movement in their respective countries in accordance with the Olympic Charter” quoted Mr. Wan Hor FONG in his presentation. “In the same spirit, the IOC should also empower the 206 NOCs, as they work together with the IOC in its mission to enhance the Olympic Movement” he further emphasized.

Mr. Mohd Nasir ALI and Mr. Wan Hor FONG also participated in the Fun Run for the 20th Asian Games Aichi-Nagoya 2026, held on Wednesday, 2nd April 2025, at 8.00 am, at Buddha Point, Thimphu, Bhutan.
