SportExcel is pleased to announce that registration is now open for the SLB-SportExcel International Junior Golf Championship 2026, which will take place from 6 to 8 October 2026 at the Garden Course of Glenmarie Golf & Country Club in Shah Alam.

Presented under the SLB-SportExcel name, this year’s championship continues a proud SportExcel tradition of providing young golfers with high-quality competition and valuable international exposure.

The SportExcel International Junior Golf Championship has long been part of Malaysia’s junior golf development landscape. Earlier editions were held under the AmBank Group-SportExcel name, with the tournament reaching its 14th edition in 2019. After a four-year hiatus, the championship returned in October 2024 and welcomed 143 players, including 66 international competitors.

That momentum continued at Glenmarie in January this year, when more than 110 junior golfers from 11 countries competed over three days. The strong international participation reflected the championship’s growing reputation as a platform where Malaysia’s leading juniors can test themselves against talented players from across the region and beyond.

The upcoming championship will feature boys and girls aged 11 to 18, competing across Groups A, B and C. Players will contest three rounds of 18-hole stroke play, with no cut, while eligible players in Groups A and B may also compete in the Inter-Team Championship.

Recognised as a World Amateur Golf Ranking event, the championship gives participants an important opportunity to strengthen their competitive experience and perform on an international stage. Prizes will be awarded to the top three players in each age-group category, the leading Blue Tee and White Tee players and the top three teams.

There is also an exciting international pathway awaiting the two overall champions. The leading Blue Tee and White Tee players will each be offered an exemption into the 2026 NextGen Amateur Tour World Final at Metropolitan Golf Club in Melbourne, as well as a place in the NextGen Amateur Tour Woodlands Open immediately before the World Final.

These opportunities reflect SportExcel’s continuing commitment to giving promising young golfers meaningful pathways beyond domestic competition.

The championship is supported by the Malaysian Golf Association and Visit Malaysia 2026.

Registration closes on 15 September 2026, subject to places remaining. The entry fee is RM580 for Malaysian players and RM980 for international players.
